Tom Browns Brasserie is a converted Victorian schoolhouse, set by the River Trent. It has all the charm and character of the Period, combined with a modern continental image. The name 'Tom Browns' comes from an old novel written by Thomas Hughes. The story is set in a Victorian school and is based upon the school days of a boy called Tom Brown. Tom Browns Brasserie was born and has been the property of Stuart & Eileen Perkins for fifteen years. However it only became a Brasserie in November 1998. In 2001, this Family business was taken over by their two sons, Adam & Robin Perkins.

The Brasserie has smoking & non-smoking areas, and boasts a mezzanine floor area with wonderful river views. With a small entrance Bar & open fires this venue is cosy, but in the summer months has an outdoor seated area, over looking the River Trent, where you can eat, drink & watch the world go by.
