Introduction

Tom Browns Brasserie is one of the finest Restaurants in Nottinghamshire, set in a converted Victorian schoolhouse beside the leafy banks of the River Trent. It has all the charm and character of the period combined with a modern continental image.

The restaurants name: 'Tom Browns', comes from a 19th century novel written by Thomas Hughes. The story is set in a Victorian school and is based upon the public schooldays of a boy called Tom Brown.

Building on the restaurant's renowned reputation for quality and value for money we have gone from strength to strength. We have been awarded 'runners-up' for the past 4 years as the 'Best Out-of-Town Restaurant in Nottingham'. In 2006, Tom Browns was voted ITV's Central News 'Viewers Restaurant of the Year' and was entered into Egon Ronay's Guide.

In 2007, the restaurant was acclaimed by a prestigious entry within the 2007/2008 AA RESTAURANT GUIDE, with the award of one Rosette.
