Browns Brasserie is one of the finest restaurants in
Nottinghamshire, set in a converted Victorian School House
beside the leafy banks of the River Trent. The restaurants' name
comes from a 19th century novel written by Thomas Hughes. The
story is set in a Victorian school and is based upon the public
schooldays of a boy called Tom Brown. The restaurant combines
the stunning charm and character of an Old Victorian School
House with an elegant, contemporary interior.

entry within the AA RESTAURANT GUIDES. In 2013, for the sixth
consecutive year, Tom Browns can proudly announce the
independent recognition of the exceptional standard of two AA
Over the past 25 years Tom Browns has built a reputation and

cuisine and providing superb service. Our outside dining terrace
boasts gorgeous riverside views and is the perfect setting to
relax in the summer months, either for a meal or just drinks.

year, such as wine and food pairing nights, an incredible Summer
Ball with champagne reception, marquee, live music, table

of June 2014 Tom Browns is excited to announce the arrival of a
new, highly acclaimed Head Chef, Andrew Brookes. Andrew has had
extensive experience at many well known restaurants (Cockliffe
Country House Hotel, Tonic, The New Ellington in Leeds) and his
food ethos is exceptionally well suited to Tom Browns - fresh,
modern, quirky and fun. Andrew aims to develop this award
winning kitchen and will increase the quality of the food whilst
still offering excellent value for money. The restaurant has an
extensive A La Carte menu (approx. £25-£30 for 3 courses) and
has developed a great value for money Early Bird Menu which is
available February - December (£16.95 - 2 courses / £19.95 - 3
courses). On Sunday lunchtimes we offer dishes from our A La
Carte menu along with succulent traditional roast dinners.
We cater for Weddings, Christmas Parties, Birthdays and other
Private Functions. The Brasserie is open 7 days a week, serving
food 12-2.30pm every lunchtime (until 5.45pm on a Sunday in
Summer) & 6-9.45pm every evening (6 – 8.30pm on Sundays).
